Live Lesson #2

A young procrastinating blue bird sat on his perch as he watched his friends head south for the winter. The young procrastinating blue bird said, “Foolish birds. It is too early to fly south. The weather is fine. Besides, I have better things to do.”

Two weeks later as the last blue bird flew past the young procrastinating blue bird. The last blue bird said, “You better fly south now or you will surely freeze or even stare.”

The young procrastinating blue bird replied, “The weather is fine. A little chill in the morning air is good for the circulation, I have plenty of time. Besides, I have better things to do today.”

The next morning the young procrastinating blue bird was awakened by a cold wind and blowing snow. The young procrastinating blue bird started his flight south, but soon ice started forming on his wings as he flew. The ice on his wings quickly became too much for the young procrastinating blue bird to continue and he dropped to the ground in a barnyard. Cold and freezing he laid on the ground thinking that he would surely die. Then a cow in the barnyard pooped on the young procrastinating blue bird as he laid freezing on the ground. Soon after the cow pooped on the young procrastinating blue he began to warm. The young procrastinating blue bird said, “I am warming up and I feel so much better.” Rejoicing he started to chirp and singing his blue bird song.

A cat in the barnyard heard the young procrastinating blue bird chirping and singing his blue bird song under the cow poop. The cat went to the cow pile where he scratched and clawed until he uncovered the young procrastinating blue bird and ate him.

The moral of the story: Just because someone dumps on you it doesn’t mean that they are your enemy and if someone digs you out it doesn’t mean that they are your friend.

Hope you have enjoyed Life Lesson #2. I want to thank those who gave me either a Like OR a Follow yesterday. I need all the Follows AND Likes I can get. It doesn’t take that much more time to press two buttons does it?
